Sales Engineer for Metallurgical Industry
For one of our international clients, a global manufacturer of high performance fluid sealing products, Action Data Group is looking to fill the position of: Sales Engineer for Metallurgical Industry.
Location: Preferably based in Dnepropetrovsk / Krivoy Rog area
| Main Purposes of Role |
- To contribute towards the success of the Company by ensuring that appropriate commercial and technical support is provided in a timely manner consistent with employer's objectives and policy. Create and support profitable growth sales in line with customer needs and satisfaction
- To develop and grow long-term relationships with existing customers, and prospecting new customers
- To ensure that product testing, when necessary, is carried out in a planned and effective manner
- To prepare and provide commercial/technical presentations, and product educating customers
- To provide technical support for customers and product recommendations that increase customer’s production yield and cost reduction

| The success of this role will be measured by: |
- Sales performance vs. last year and targets
- Gross Profit performance vs. last year and targets
- Achievement of Marketing and Sales Programs against plan
- Growth in overall and individual accounts
- Numbers of new customers and applications vs. last year and targets

| Main Tasks of the Successful Candidate: |
- To sell the range of employer's products and services, with appropriate involvement of manufacturing companies into Metallurgical Industry
- To provide Commercial and Technical support to internal sales and customers on more complex enquiries and for major customers where the nature of the project dictates a higher level of technical input.
- To deliver product training to end users
- Delivered with support from and offering support to Industrial Marketing Director
- To develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customers requirements, including request for proposal response, industry-specific solutions, advice on seal application and fitting, diagnose problems and provide information for tailor-made products
- To liaise with employer's departments supporting sales, for example Finance or Technical, to solve customers issues
- To develop Sales Planning and sales forecast
- To produce a Monthly Plan of objectives, activities and targets along with Monthly Report of activities and results
- To provide after sales support service
- To negotiate tender and contract terms
- To provide information needed about customers credit ratings
- To undertake any reasonable request from Management
- To keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing and emerging technologies, and keep records of business transactions and the latest product lines development
- To attend Trade Shows and Seminars if required by management to support the company’s market initiatives
- To represent the employer at local Technical and Trade Associations
- To write and/or present Technical Papers
- To investigate seal failures, provide reports to Technical Dpt, and support recommendation/implementation of corrective and preventative action
- To understand, anticipate and meet customers needs, managing and interpreting customer’s requirements, assess application needs and confer customer’s applications
- To support in the translation Russian/English of commercial and technical data for the usage of head office
- To be conversant with, and comply with, the health and safety, environmental and quality requirements of the job and ensure that safe working practices are observed, and that work is performed without risk to health and safety and to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained

Demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of product information for all areas of the business. Good understanding of company products and services
- Industry Knowledge. Knowledge of Metallurgical market with connections in large manufacturing plants, and specification channels. Ability to pass on knowledge and experience of this subject to internal and external contacts. Understanding of key stakeholders/structures. Demonstrate an understanding of key issues and priorities within each business area
- Manufacturing Knowledge. Good understanding of manufacturing processes. Actively utilise knowledge in providing a first class service to customers. Good understanding of employer's manufacturing process for all areas of the business.
- Understanding Logistics. Demonstrate good understanding of logistical processes in Ukraine; use this information to overcome issues effectively with customers

| Must-have Skills: |
- English speaker at commercial level
- Comprehensive knowledge of the market, products and applications of high performance fluid sealing products and services
- Ability to develop strong customer relations
- Commercial acumen within an engineering sales environment
- Free to travel in Ukraine and outside Ukraine upon employer's request

| Qualifications: |
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
- Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
- Understanding of commercial, engineering and business issues
- Working with top-notch solutions for industrial customers
- Experience in working in Metallurgical business environment
